A natural, plant-based ingredient extracted from the leaves of a distinct subspecies of Cynara cardunculus, popularly known as the artichoke.
The active ingredient is produced from raw material cultivated in Sicily, Italy.

The artichoke originates from the Mediterranean region—spanning southern Europe and North Africa—and is most common in Italy, having been commercially traded since the mid-15th century.

It was introduced to Brazil by European immigrants and is cultivated in mild climates.

This vegetable features spiny leaves and purple flowers and is consumed primarily for its mild, delicate flavor.
