It is an active ingredient obtained from the microalga Dunaliella salina, a species adapted to extreme conditions of salinity and light, found in the Mediterranean region. Extracted using a highly sustainable method free of organic solvents, it is rich in phytochemicals with powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity, which help protect against skin ageing.

The active ingredient works by inhibiting the enzymes collagenase and elastase, which are responsible for degrading structural proteins such as collagen and elastin, promoting greater support and elasticity. It also contains glycerol, an excellent natural humectant that enhances skin hydration and strengthens the skin barrier
