Is obtained through a biotechnological process using acidophilic microorganisms found in the Rio Tinto in Spain, known as "Mars on Earth".
It has a high moisturizing power, as it strengthens the skin barrier and increases the expression of genes related to skin hydration. It also protects DNA against damage caused by UV radiation and can be used in facial and body formulations.
Product of the fermentation of Bacillus sp.
Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun. It is known as the "Red Planet" due to the high levels of iron oxide, a reddish compound that predominates on its surface. It also has atmospheric, environmental and climatic conditions that make the presence of life difficult.
Rio Tinto, on the other hand, is located in the province of Huelva in Spain. It was used in mining operations in the region, an activity responsible for the accumulation of iron, which gives it its characteristic red color, similar to the planet Mars. In addition, its waters have a pH close to that of lemon juice or vinegar, inhospitable conditions for the survival of animals and microorganisms. Because of these characteristics, the Rio Tinto is known as "Mars on Earth".
Despite this, some extremophile algae and microorganisms have already been discovered, capable of surviving in these adverse conditions. Knowing this, Lipotrue carried out an expedition to the site, which made it possible to select Bacillus sp, the microorganism used in the development of MARSturizer™.
