Dimpless® is a freeze-drying concentrate from the French variety of Cantaloupe melon (Cucumis melo L. clipper).
Dimpless® was developed by the Robertet company using a new variation of the cantaloupe melon, which has a longer shelf life due to its high concentration of superoxide dismutase (SOD), a powerful primary antioxidant. As such, it is the only company in the world that grows the Cucumis melo L. clipper melon, which has an SOD concentration 20 times higher than any other species on the market.
In addition to SOD, Dimpless® contains other primary antioxidants, such as Catalase and Glutathione Peroxidase, and secondary antioxidants, such as carotenoids, Vitamin E, A and C, lipoic acid and coenzyme Q10.
- Superoxide Dismutase (SOD)
- Glutathione peroxidase (GPx) and Catalase (CAT)
- Vitamins A, C and E
- Coenzyme Q10 and Lipoic Acid
- Carotenoids
The cantaloupe melon, also known as cantaloupe or Japanese melon, has distinctive characteristics, such as its greenish, wrinkled rind and its orange-colored flesh. It is famous as the fruit of the summer, as it is low in calories and high in water.
Its composition is characterized by the presence of vitamins and minerals, carotenoids and a high concentration of primary antioxidant enzymes such as superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GPx) and catalase (CAT).
Primary antioxidants are essential enzymes produced naturally by our bodies, which act to maintain the body's ox/redox balance. These enzymes act on the front line of defense against free radicals, oxidative stress and inflammatory reactions that can affect cognition, sleep quality, weight management and even the degree of cellulite, among others. Because of these characteristics, recent research has shown that SOD is a primary indicator of longevity in different species, since it is involved in preserving DNA structure and delaying cellular senescence.
Secondary antioxidants, on the other hand, are supplied externally from dietary sources, such as vitamins (Vitamins C and E), minerals (Se, Zn, Mn) and flavonoids.
A balanced diet, rich in different vegetables and fruits, combined with supplementation, is an assertive strategy to promote the production of endogenous antioxidants, a process that is essential for maintaining quality of life and active care in the prevention of organic complications.
