Acacia gum is a fiber extracted sustainably from the stems and branches of Acacia senegal trees (Leguminosae), which grow mainly in the Sahel region of Africa.
Fibregum is extracted in a sustainable, minimally processed way, without chemical or enzymatic modifications, transforming the exudate into a fine, soluble powder.
Fibregum is a highly branched polysaccharide, resulting in slow and gradual fermentation in the intestine. For this reason, Fibregum is the ideal fiber to avoid the intestinal discomfort common to other fibers, and has therefore received the FODMAP Friendly certification.
Fibregum is highly bifidogenic, balancing the composition of the intestinal microbiota with local and systemic benefits.
According to the EFSA (European Food Safety Authority), acacia gum helps with glycemic and insulinemic control, maintaining blood sugar control.

For some years now, researchers have been demonstrating the fundamental role of the intestine in health.
The intestine is a recognized organ with the functions of digestion, absorption and excretion of food. It is now considered to be a metabolic organ, acting in addition to its primary functions, such as immunology, hormone and neurotransmitter synthesis, nerves and motors.
The balance of the microbiota is responsible for a healthy and constant "dialog" between the intestine and the central nervous system.
The function of prebiotics (fibres), probiotics and symbiotics is to colonize, protect and maintain the health of the intestine and the whole organism.
The balance in the daily choice of healthy foods rich in fiber such as vegetables, fruits and grains is directly related to the prevention of metabolic and chronic diseases.
