Who we are

Founded on April 14, 1987, in Campinas (SP), Galena was born with the mission of meeting a critical need for compounding pharmacies: access to quality raw materials in small quantities, with guaranteed origin and full traceability. A pioneer in the fractionation of raw materials in Brazil, it has established a new supply standard, combining safety, agility and specialized technical support.

From the beginning, the company reached out to pharmacists and students, contributing to the expansion of the pharmaceutical sector and strengthening the appreciation of the profession. It also created the newspaper Notícias Galena, now a physical and digital magazine, a national reference in the dissemination of technical, regulatory and market information, reinforcing its role as an agent of innovation and knowledge.

In 1999, it became the first Brazilian pharmaceutical company to achieve ISO 9000 certification. Later, it was also the first fractionator to achieve ABNT NBR ISO 9001:2015 certification for all its processes, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to quality, regulatory compliance and customer focus.

Today, with almost four decades of experience, Galena is the largest distributor of raw materials in Latin America. It operates in the masterful market and the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, food and veterinary industries, connecting global suppliers to national demands and offering reliable solutions that drive innovation, safety and growth for the entire sector.
