Is a 1.3/1.6 β-glucan of high purity, obtained from the cell wall of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Standardized to at least 75% active β-glucan, it acts directly to modulate the innate immune system, promoting more efficient responses against viruses, bacteria and other aggressive agents. Its mechanism of action begins in the small intestine, via Peyer's patches, activating macrophages, monocytes and neutrophils.
